The entertainment business in South Korea is probably the most mature among all countries in Asia. A lot of boy or girl bands are produced every year but Teen Top was the group who debuted at the youngest age, around 16. Not only active in Asia, they also started their worldwide journey and debuted their U.S. tour earlier this year.
The most special part of their U.S. concert is the “Solo Stage“ prepared by individual members. Neil and Chunji have participated on the super popular variety show, King of the Mask Singer. A lot of audience members were surprised about their vocal talents as a boy band, especially when they took off their masks after singing. Band member Neil said, “In our U.S. tour, we want our fans to enjoy the most charming moments of each of us, from singing, rapping, to dancing” Among all the locations for their US tour, the members are most excited about the New York concert. “It’s not our first time in New York, but we are extremely happy to be back again. We like those stylish New Yorkers and the energy of the Big Apple. I hope we can have time to shop around after the concert!” said Ricky, the member who is into fashion the most.
After their U.S. tour, I am sure their fans must be interested in knowing what their next step is. “We are preparing our new album, but before that, you will see some of the members acting in dramas or musicals first,” said L. Joe. Recently, we are already able to see the new Korean drama “Tantara (The Entertainer)” starring L. Joe with other famous Korean actors and singers such as Ji Sung, Min-hyuk from CNBlue, Hyeri from Girl’s Day and Gong Myung from 5urprise. The drama is about the entertainment industry in South Korea and the story of the “Tantara Band”. L. Joe’s role is the drummer of the band with a goofy but warm personality. “I hope that everyone will support the drama, and see a different side of me,” commented by L. Joe.
