Rong Restaurant, a new Asian restaurant, opened its doors this past August in Flushing, Queens. Its classy décor has a slightly modern twist, and is a welcome and fresh addition to the Chinese restaurants in the Flushing area. We were most impressed by their menu, which features a nice selection of Shanghainese, Cantonese, and Szechuan cooking. Several impressive choices include the Fried Snow Crab Legs, Mixed Seafood Soup, Chicken Salty Fish Fried Rice, and the Salt & Pepper Pork. The taste of each dish fills you with the warmth of home-made food. Their General Tso’s Chicken is top notch. It was a hot night, and our waiter recommended the Sangira cooler. It definitely lived up to its name. The service was just as good as the food, with attentive waiters and waitresses visiting tables to ensure that customers were happy. Rong Restaurant might be a new entry in a crowded field, but they clearly have begun to build a good reputation for themselves.
