Light up the New York Times Travel Show

Taiwan, known as the heart of Asia, has announced that the number of tourists visiting Taiwan just reached 10 million people! Taiwan has also been recognized as one of the best international travel destinations according to many major media outlets, including CNN, Lonely Planet and the Discovery Channel, each giving well-deserved recognition to Taiwan’s Annual Bike Festival and upcoming Lantern Festival. This year, Taiwan Tourism Bureau specifically decorated their show booth at the 13th Annual New York Times Travel Show with the theme of Taiwan’s world famous Lantern Festival. Truly a must-see booth at the show, on display were the actual sky lanterns that the Bureau transported from Taiwan solely for displaying at their booth. The joyful atmosphere, along with live performances during the three days, offers visitors the opportunity to experience up-close the rich and wonderful culture and traditions of Taiwan. This fun booth also prominently featured the “Time for Taiwan” travel campaign, in addition to bubble tea and Taiwanese authentic food demonstrations and tastings. Also, the two major airlines from Taiwan – EVA Air and China Airlines and travel agencies SITA and GTT travel, are there to share with you more information and promotions for you to fly to Taiwan. There is no better way to learn and savor the authentic taste of Taiwan than to stop by their booth at the Javits Center and enjoy it for yourself.
