On November 3rd, 2017, Che’Nelle released her ninth studio album called, “Calm Before the Storm”, which also  marks her first all-English EP. The Malaysian Born singer croons pure pop perfection on the album. With soaring vocals and exotic looks, the seven-song EP is a breakout release for Che’Nelle, having already established herself as a respected recording artist in Japan where she launched her singing career.

Distributed by worldwide powerhouse label Empire, “Calm Before the Storm” features the tracks; “Love You Like Me Feat. Konshens”, “Miracle”, “Love Sick”, “Heart Burn”, “Criminal”, “Hollywood”, and “Superstar”.

Releasing her first song in 2007, Che’Nelle’s “I Fell in Love with a DJ” went certified gold status which led to her discovery in Japan and setting her on a course to overnight JPOP success. Che’Nelle followed up that release with “Baby I Love You” in 2011 which went on to become a massive hit and certified 4x platinum. Che’Nelle would go on to sign with EMI Music Japan and release a string of #1 albums and hit singles in Japan.

With her eyes set on dominating the music scene in America, Che’Nelle says about her new EP, “‘Calm Before the Storm’ is my first ever EP released in the States. It’s been a long journey   for me and I’m finally on a musical path I can call home.”, adding, “There’s a rawness to the authentic yet rough around the edges kinda’ll hear splashes of urban, pop, rock and soul.”

After finding success in Asia, one of the standout things you’ll notice in the Western  pop scene is a lack of Asian artists. Che’Nelle hopes to change that saying, “Music is universal, and I feel blessed to be in a space to express some of my fun, sexy, vulnerable stories with you. Sit back, chill and enjoy.”
