Lang Lang Private Concert
at Lincoln Center
by: Christopher LeeIt was a beautiful, and musical way to say “Thank you” to some of their most prominent donors. Lincoln Center recently held a performance event in their newly minted event space, The Gallery at Langham Place. It was a private concert given by Langham Hotels’ brand ambassador, classical music star, Lang Lang.
Attended by 125 of the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund’s top donors, the event included a private reception featuring exquisite canapés created by Executive Chef David Vandenabeele, including mini artichoke quiche and courgeres with homemade hummus. The event began with a warm welcome and introduction by Arlene Graime, Executive Director of the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund, followed by a 30-minute performance by Lang Lang. Those in attendance were treated to a truly spontaneous performance, as Lang Lang played songs that he was inspired to play at that moment (in other words, no set list).
Wearing his customary black suit, and stylishly spiky hair, Lang Lang made time to meet with his fans before and after the event. Selfies were being taken quite often. He was followed during the evening by a documentary film crew who were creating a project called, “A Day in the Life of Lang Lang.”
