Directed by Ian Bonhôte and co-directed/written by Peter Ettedgui, the film is a personal and intimate look at the extraordinary life career and artistry of one of the most influential fashion designers of our time.
McQUEEN opens in theaters on July 20th. Los Angeles press screening dates below and press day with the filmmakers will be in mid July. Ian Bonhote is an award-winning film director and producer. His career has earned him credits spanning commercials, music video and fashion films, as well as co-founding the Production Company Pulse Films (pulsefilms.com) with fellow producers Thomas Benski and Marisa Clifford, in 2004. Pulse Films co-produced the “The Witch” as well as “American Honey” (2016 Jury Prize Cannes Winner). In 2016, Ian sold the company to the Vice Media Group. In 2016, Ian completed his first feature film “ALLEYCATS”, as a director and executive producer (distributed worldwide, by Universal Studios), as well as founding, Misfits Entertainment (Misfits) Ltd. “McQueen” is Ian Bonhôte’s 2nd feature film.
As a film-maker, Peter Ettedgui works across both fiction and non-fiction. He produced ‘Kinky Boots’, starring Joel Edgerton and Chiwitel Ejiofor, which went on to become a hit Broadway/West End stage musical. For ‘Listen to Me, Marlon’, a film portrait of Marlon Brando told through the actor’s audio archives, Peter received a Peabody Award and the International Documentary Award for best writing in a documentary.
