While our trip is winding down, our activities continue to move full force! We started our day today visiting the museum of one of the most iconic TV/Film stars of the 20th century. This museum is located in the city of her birth, Jamestown, NY. If you haven’t guessed by now, it is Lucille Ball, star of the show, “I Love Lucy”.
Next up on the agenda was a quick tour of the Lawson Boating Heritage Center, located in Bemus Point, NY. The museum is home to many boats (either on loan or donated to the museum) and has a rich history for sailing as well as rowing.
We enjoyed lunch aboard the Chatatauqua Belle Steamboat. This beautiful boat is only 1 of 4 fully functional steamboats left in the United States. The girls and crew were treated to a beautiful cruise along the scenic Chatatauqua Lake. Our day finished up with a guided tour of the village of Chatatauqua. We had an opportunity to catch a dance show located in its’ Amphitheatre. This little village is home to a community that showcases the arts to its visitor’s all summer. This looks like a great place to vacation for those who have an appreciation for the arts…Tomorrow is the final day of our journey, be sure to check back to see what’s in store!
