Nestled on a bustling East Village block, and conveniently located near St. Mark’s Place, we came across Element Beauty Lounge. Upon entering the spa, the first thing one notices is the exotic aroma from the mixed blend of lavender and rosemary. Throughout the spa, one will find flat screen TV’s, each playing soft music videos, enhancing the already soothing ambiance. These TV’s can also be found attached to the ceiling, providing a welcome diversion while lying on your back receiving a wax treatment.
The different shades of green throughout the spa, along with the sleek, simple, and comfortable furniture and fixtures, quickly create a soothing mood to the senses. The receptionist welcomes you with a warm and friendly smile, and proceeds to tell you about the various treatments offered by Element Beauty Lounge – truly a feast of services to choose from here.
Owner and manager Michelle informs us that the lounge uses nothing but the finest and purest in organic products for all their treatments. Element Beauty Spa also has a locker room, showers, and a sauna. Complimentary freshly-brewed organic teas, along with a delicious assortment of fresh seasonal fruits are made available to all their clients. Consisting of two levels, Element Beauty Spa’s retail area offers its clients Body Scrubs, Body Butter, facial products, post treatment products, Element lotion, and even candles.
The lower level is where their services really begin: professional massage, facials, body treatments, body scrubs, micro dermabrasion, and chemical peels.
Element Beauty Lounge is a full-service lounge that offers over 17 different varieties of manicure and pedicure treatments, ranging from Citrus Hot Cream, Milk & Honey, or brightening Anti-Age for your hands, to Strawberry & Cream, Green Tea, or Ice Cream Bath for your feet.
The menu of facials and massages is quite extensive, and is sure to soothe, improve, or rejuvenate the particular area that is in need of some professional attention. Facials begin at $60 for either a green Tea Acid Peel or Hydra Flash Facial, and up to $180 for the Ultraluxe Age Control Facial featuring Sonya Dakar skincare products. Massages start as low as $13 for a 10 minute rub sitting in a chair (great for some lunchtime stress relief!), average at $70 for Swedish, Prenatal, or Shiatsu, and top off at $150 for a 90 minute Premium Massage.
Their famous manicure, known as the Crystal Gel system, offers a large selection of colors to go with any occasion or outfit. Another specialty offered on the menu are eyelash extensions. Element Beauty offers a variety of organic creams, scrubs, and cosmetics.
