Taiwan Heritage Night at Citifield

For any fan of the NY Mets, this Friday, Aug. 14th is a very special night. The Taiwan Tourism Bureau announced at its press conference on Friday, Aug. 7th, that it will present the 11th annual Taiwan heritage Night at Citi Field this coming Saturday, when the Mets will host the Pittsburgh Pirates. Game time is 7:10 pm.
The press conference featured The DaBangNi Band, which entertained those in attendance with a sample of what’s in store for those attending this Saturday night’s game. the band is scheduled to perform on the field at 6:40pm, and will be joined by Queens native rapper and songwriter Miss Ko.
Miss Ko, winner of the 24th Annual Golden Melody award in 2013 (the Taiwanese version of Grammy), will also be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the game.
The news conference also had special appearances by both Mr. Met and the Taiwanese mascot, “Oh Bear”. Fans will be happy to know that both “Oh Bear” and Mr. Met will be available for photo opportunities with fans at the game on Saturday.
The press conference ended with a fantastic group photo, along with photo ops with “Miss Ko”, “Oh Bear” and Mr. Met.
Of special note, the first 300 ticket holders showing their special Taiwan Night tickets at the Group Sales Redemption Booth – behind section 130 – will receive a limited edition Taiwanese Noise Maker.
