Taiwan Minister of Culture Lung Yingtai visits United States

Lung Yingtai, Taiwan’s Minister of Culture, is a celebrated writer, literary critic and public intellectual. She was invited by The Asia Society, George Washington University and the University of British Columbia to come to the US and Canada for several talks in late August 2012. The mission of the trip was to focus on promoting the function and integration of the Taiwan Ministry of Culture in four aspects of cultural communication: publishing, creative industries, media entertainment, and art. In addition, Minister Lung also devoted some time to enhancing sustainable cultural exchanges with other countries.
