Taiwan Tourism booth and event Shines at the NY Times Travel show

2020 spotlight  for Taiwan

Let’s travel to Taiwan to celebrate the Taiwan tourism events and beautiful mountains.

Taiwan’s unique geography means the island not only features breath-taking coastal scenery , but is also home to the world’s highest density of mountains.  Together, Taiwan’s several mountain ranges stretch clear across the island, each range offering a different scenery to behold. Outside of a visual feast, Taiwan’s mountains offer visitors rich natural ecosystems, as well as indigenous people’s culture and tea plantations to explore. The 5 complete mountain ranges including Central Mountain Range, Yushan Range, Xue Mountain Range, Alishan and Coastal Range.  The mountains are over 3,000 meters above sea level. Taiwan has 10x more mountains that are over 3000 meters tall than New Zealand, and 20 times more than Japan.

In 2020, there are many exciting events and festivals which will be held throughout all the islands, including the Thaichung City Mazu International Festival coming this March, Hakka Tung Blossom Festival , Penghu  International Fireworks Festival, Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival, Xiuguluan River Rafting Triathlon, Taiwan Culinary Exhibition,  Keelung mid-Summer Ghost Festival , Taiwan Cycling Festival, Sun Moon Lake Swimming Carnival , Taiwan Hot Spring & Fine Cuisine Carnival, and the Taipei Marathon.

At the Taiwan Tourism booth, they also had information from China Airline and EVA Air to share with the international traveler.  There was also one lucky winner each for a a round-trip ticket from China Airline and one ticket from EVA Air.  There were also live demonstrations of traditional Taiwanese folk dance, artistic painting on Mino paper umbrellas.  Many visitors to the Travel show stopped by the Taiwan Tourism booth to enjoy the fun, excitement and entertainment.  For more information, be sure to visit: https://eng.taiwan.net.tw
