Think Chinese food is all about greasy take-out? Think again! Mr. Wilson Lee’s Asian Bistro, a delicate, neighborhood-friendly Asian fusion restaurant located in Chelsea, dedicates itself to creating healthy and delicious dishes that are brought direct to your table.

Asian Bistro has been on 7th Avenue between 14th and 15th Street since 2008. The black wood tables and chairs give this friendly restaurant a simple but classic Asian tone. People in the neighborhood love to hang out here after a busy day because of the easy atmosphere, the thoughtful service and the delicious food. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by amiable waiters. Once seated, a cup of hot tea is promptly served to warm up your body and soul. You just cannot wait to see what’s on the menu.

The menu includes Chinese, Japanese and Thai foods. Mr. Lee takes good care of what his customers eat: The chef uses non-fat oil, and as little salt and sugar as possible to deliver the tasty food to the audience. For your health, Asian Bistro also provides fried brown rice to replace fried white rice. The best choice for you in Asian Bistro is its Bento Box: it has two pieces of avocado rolls, two pieces of sweet potato rolls, two pieces of steamed vegetable dumplings, a spring salad with ginger dressing, rice, and miso soup. You then select one entree from Shrimp, General Tso’s chicken, tofu teriyaki and eleven other dishes. The avocado, sweet potato and salad can provide you a profound amount of vitamins and fibers. And your choice of shrimp, chicken, or tofu offers an ample amount of protein. The various combinations of foods can easily come togehter to make a perfect dinner! Now you might think the price for this Bento Box must be high for the variety of foods. Guess what? It only costs $12 – $18 (depending on your choice) to have such a healthy and flavorful meal!

One selection you simply cannot miss in Asian Bistro is their Four Treasure Soup. This is a traditional Cantonese style soup that people drink once or twice a week to keep the body warm and balanced. The chef puts astragular, condonasis, dioscoria, licyu and other ingredients into a pot, boils and then simmers it for over 24 hours. This soup contains elements to sooth fast-paced people’s pressure: no matter if you are sleepless, stressful or easily getting tired, this soup will help protect your immune system from getting a cold – summer or winter! So next time when you’re walking into Asian Bistro, definitely ask for the Four Treasure Soup, and enjoy!

Aside from the Bento Box and Four Treasure Soup, you also have a wide selection of dishes from China, Japan, and Thailand to choose from on the menu. No matter what you want… whether it’s General Tso’s Chicken and Happy Family, or all kinds of rolls, sushi or sashimi, you can find them here at Asian Bistro. So next time you find yourself on Seventh Ave. in the heart of lower Chelsea, walk into Asian Bistro, and you will get a warm welcome along with a satisfied meal loaded with healthy food and lots of flavors!
